What have you adapted to and what have you risked or lost? Have you ever thought that maybe the reason why you are so used to the misery of your surroundings is due to the fact that you have become accustomed to that lifestyle thus adapting. Sometimes we don’t realize or understand the level of trouble we allow ourselves to be apart of due to the fact that we have gotten so used to being looked at, treated, or dealt with in a certain way. A certain way that makes us feel that we are not worthy to be loved or even liked. This way of thinking has become so embedded into our everyday lives that we continue to move forward as if it was normal. Sadly, for some of us it is. If we continue at this rate we will never allow ourselves to grow or move.
Webster stated that when we adapt that we are making something suitable for a new use or purpose. However, the flip side of this is when you allow yourself to be come uses to something or someone who is unpleasant. This unpleasantries could also be caused by your self. So that is why it is so important for you to be aware of your surroundings and be mindful as to what you allow your mind to become accustomed to. Thus being mindful of adapting to wrong situations, ideas, and people.
